I'm in the UK!

So people.

I have successfully arrived. Go me!

The trip over was as good as can be expected. The service was excellent but it was horrifically long. Bit of a sprint to get to my connection at Dubai after a delay in Bangkok but I made it (obviously).

Customs at border control in Birmingham turned out to be easier than anticipated. This was mainly due to every customs person in the "nothing to declare" room bunking off to gossip with one of the guards. We were waved through and nothing was xrayed. I didn't think they were supposed to just take our word for it when we said we were good.

The weather here is lovely, 20 degrees when I arrived.

The hotel is very nice and just down the road from the castle.

Tomorrow I head to London where I will be meeting up with charlotte. So that should be fun.

I am going to sign off now as I am very tired. I didn't get much sleep on the plane.
